Unica Group is a second-tier Andalusian cooperative society that stands out for its innovation, size and transparency with the main objective of improving the sustained profitability of its farmers over time.
It has its own data centre in which we have implemented a Proxmox/Ceph cluster of multiple nodes through which we have created the virtualisation infrastructure to house all the virtual machines they need for their daily operations.
Backups of the entire virtualisation infrastructure are carried out via a local PBS with sufficient space to hold many versions of the virtual machines. There are more critical virtual machines for which we do hourly backups. In addition to this, they use our PBS service with a space reservation of tens of TBs to have a complete copy of the entire infrastructure off-site.
We have also created a DR (Disaster Recovery) solution on dedicated servers at OVH and defined a disaster recovery plan to be able to recover the company’s operations as quickly as possible in the event of a serious incident at the head office.
